Sunheater from SmartPools uses the pool pump to automatically pump water through the solar collectors. The water is heated as it moves through the collectors. Tube and web design traps the heat and catches light as the sun moves across the sky. The heated water is returned back to the pool through the return lines.    

A properly sized and installed system will raise pool temperatures up to 10° or more during the season. Collectors should get full sun for at least 6 hours. The longer the collectors are in the sun, the better they work.

Installation is easy!

Tough polypropylene material won’t rust, corrode or scale, and the collector is reversible. Crush resistant collector headers are reinforced with overmolded fiberglass!

The Sunheater™ Aboveground Solar Heating Systems come in two models—the S220, which utilizes single 2’ X 20’ solar collectors, and the S421, which uses two 2’ X 20’ solar collectors per system. Both models include a system kit.

Each S220 System has one 2’X20’ collector, two elbows/hose –connector adapters, two end caps, a connector hose for second solar collector, two stainless steel clamps, one roll of Teflon™ tape, and an installation manual.

Each S421 System has two 2’X20’ collectors, two elbows/hose-connector adapters, two end caps, four stainless steel clamps, two connector hoses for additional system, one roll of Teflon™ tape, and an installation manual. Both models can be connected to the other. (used in same system)

A roof/rack mounting kit, high wind mounting kit, and a manual diverter valve are ordered separately from the Accessories portion of the buyers guide shown below.

 Note: For Year-Round Swimming Areas, add a Solar Blanket to retain the heat and one Collector.
